About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Medical Patrol in Grove City, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service, clear communication, and calm professionalism while reporting concerns and responding to situations as needed. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment where vaccines are present.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment where a morgue is present.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or environmental concerns to report.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or medical-related support requests as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor access points and authorized areas, verify credentials when required, assist with wayfinding, and help manage visitor flow in coordination with hospital staff.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and other security-related activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate updates to supervisors and site personnel.
