Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, observing for any unusual activity and helping to deter potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report any unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior in accordance with site protocols.
• Document and communicate incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client procedures.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related matters.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity within the location.
