As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet staff and visitors with helpful customer service, communicate clearly during daily activity and unusual situations, and support a respectful environment. Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare and clinical environment.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout interior areas, corridors, entrances, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, observe for irregular conditions, and assist with visitor direction and/or movement control in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notifications, and coordination with site management and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity documentation, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.
