As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points, screen employees and visitors, verify credentials, and support package and vehicle flow while documenting activity and reporting concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver clear, respectful communication and customer service. Requirements

• Customer Service Experience - preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Operate as a screener at entry points by verifying identification and access authorization, screening bags and/or packages as required, and conducting authorized inspections to help to deter unauthorized items or access.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems; document unusual activity and/or policy violations and report concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, supporting first responders, and assisting with controlled evacuations when directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas such as entrances, staging areas, and perimeter points; check doors, gates, and dock areas and report maintenance or security-related issues.
