Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Hospital Patrol in Fairfax, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, staying visible to support a secure environment, and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of vaccination is required for hospital assignments.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required for the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards encountered during patrols within the healthcare location.
Assist visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general inquiries as part of a customer-focused approach.
Collaborate with healthcare staff to support a secure environment, including monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as required.
Document incidents and observations clearly and promptly according to Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
