As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with courteous service and clear communication. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, and use a computer and/or tablet to report activity. Join a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, people-first, and driven by integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbance calls, unauthorized access concerns, and/or requests for assistance from clinical and administrative teams.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, provide directions and de-escalation support as needed, and help maintain orderly movement through public areas.
  • Complete reports and logs, communicate security-related information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and assist with investigations by documenting observations and preserving information.
