About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Healthcare Patrol in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position requires driving responsibilities as part of your patrol duties. You will provide excellent customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Assist visitors, patients, and staff by providing directions and information as needed.
Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment.
Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation according to Allied Universal standards.
