About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Healthcare Patrol Specialist in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as per client requirements.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a visible presence.
Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
Collaborate with facility staff and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
