About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Healthcare Patrol Shift in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required as required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment, responding to inquiries and assisting staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalating issues to appropriate personnel when necessary.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns, noting and reporting any irregularities or hazards.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas, helping to maintain an orderly environment and supporting access control measures as directed by site policies.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in a clear and timely manner, preparing written reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and local emergency responders as appropriate during emergency response activities, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Remain alert to changes in the environment and communicate any security-related concerns or unusual activity to supervisors or site contacts promptly.
