About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol in Plymouth, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a government location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, provide outstanding customer service, and support a welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government building and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Assist with controlling access to the location, verifying identification as required by site policies.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
  • Support emergency response protocols and help to facilitate communication between building occupants and first responders if needed.
  • Promote a welcoming presence while upholding the security-related expectations of the government location.
