Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate communication and de-escalation techniques.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with site protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of observed incidents, patrols and any unusual activities encountered during shifts.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and other emergency services as needed during incidents.
- Perform security-related tasks in accordance with Allied Universal training and post orders for government environments.
