About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. Requirements

A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
Proof of high school diploma or General Education Diploma is required as per client requirements.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas as required by site procedures.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or government personnel as needed.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with access control and/or visitor management as required by site policies.
