About The Position

St. Moritz Security Services, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer to provide security services at assigned locations, focusing on observing and reporting. The role includes monitoring and reporting all activity, conducting foot, vehicular, golf cart, and bicycle patrols, reporting suspicious activities, writing detailed reports, and responding to emergencies. The position is based in Port St. Lucie, with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour for unarmed patrol.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current or prior military experience or college education in the security field desirable.
  • 1-3 years of professional-level work experience preferred, especially in security, law enforcement, or customer service.
  • Valid registration/permit/license required by the state of employment.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and drug/alcohol test.
  • Current state driver's license and clean driving record may be required.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to write effective and legible reports.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and ability to de-escalate situations.
  • Energetic personality with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in scheduling, operations, or other functions of the security industry.
  • Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement, or military.

Responsibilities

  • Execute security services as outlined in the Post Order Manual and company policies.
  • Conduct walking and vehicular patrols of assigned areas.
  • Identify and report security threats and unsafe conditions.
  • Perform site-specific duties including customer service and loss prevention.
  • Write detailed incident reports during shifts.
  • Know and implement site-specific policies and emergency response activities.
  • Follow company procedures and maintain acceptable attendance.
  • Participate in required orientation and training programs.
  • Respond to incidents in accordance with Post Orders and Use of Force Policy.
  • Conduct security or support functions as directed by supervisors.
