As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer-focused service. You will document observations, support store teams and guests, and contribute to a welcoming environment. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site management and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, stock areas, corridors, loading areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Control access by monitoring entrances and exits, checking credentials when required, and assisting with crowd flow and line management during peak shopping periods.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or policy violations in written reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
