About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Foot Patrol in Mulberry, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter lines; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document entries, exits, and deliveries per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts, and completing required reports.
• Operate and observe security-related systems such as radios, CCTV, and alarm panels, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance issues through the established chain of communication.
