About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Foot Patrol in Shreveport, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and site policies. You will communicate clearly with operations teams, document activity, and respond to concerns with a calm, customer-service mindset. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy concerns through the designated chain of communication.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading and unloading zones, parking areas, and perimeter routes as directed by post orders.
Monitor access points and controlled areas as assigned, verifying authorization, assisting with visitor processing, and documenting entries, exits, and unusual conditions.
Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift pass-down notes, and coordinate with site representatives and emergency responders when needed.
