About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed - Experience Required in Morton Grove, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication. You will document activity, support site access procedures, and assist employees and visitors with a customer-focused approach. Requirements
- Have 2+ years of Security Experience.
- Be comfortable using computer or tablet preferred.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
- Monitor access points, gates, and restricted areas, verifying authorization and reporting access concerns per site policy.
- Complete written and/or electronic reports, maintain daily activity logs, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
