As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will spend much of your shift driving between areas, staying highly visible, and conducting routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support loss prevention efforts, and provide customer service through clear communication and teamwork. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license is required under Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, stock areas, receiving docks, and exterior perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, support loss prevention efforts, and/or assist with orderly traffic flow.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions per post orders and reporting requirements.
• Communicate professionally with store management, law enforcement, and/or emergency services as needed; provide directions, de-escalation support, and incident updates.
