About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Defense Patrol in Cape Canaveral, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a cutting-edge aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with on-site teams, and deliver a customer-focused presence. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
Have CPR certification, preferred.
Have a guard card and/or license, preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and requesting emergency services when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production and test areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential hazards.
Control access by verifying identification and authorization for employees, contractors, and visitors, and by monitoring entry and exit points according to site procedures.
Complete required documentation such as shift activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
