About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Commercial Patrol in Urbandale, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and attentive service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
- Observe and report any anomalies, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.
- Collaborate with property management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns as they arise.
- Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly as part of daily responsibilities.
