As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity as you work with teammates to deliver caring, people-first service.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, checking doors, corridors, and other key areas for unusual conditions and potential policy violations.
Monitor access points and observe activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or disorderly behavior, while maintaining a professional presence and providing directions as requested.
Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers to support continuity of operations.
