As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity as you work with teammates to deliver caring, people-first service.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter, checking doors, corridors, and other key areas for unusual conditions and potential policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or disorderly behavior, while maintaining a professional presence and providing directions as requested.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information during shift turnovers to support continuity of operations.
