About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Clearance Patrol Driver in Dulles, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a dynamic aerospace and defense location. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the premises and respond quickly to situations, all while upholding our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and visitors as needed.
Complete required logs and incident reports accurately and promptly as required by Allied Universal policies and site-specific procedures.
Remain alert and attentive during assigned shifts, maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
