Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Document and report observations, incidents, and/or suspicious activities according to company and site guidelines.
Assist with controlling access to restricted areas within the location, verifying credentials as required.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to the public and staff.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when necessary, following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Participate in ongoing training and/or briefings to remain updated on policies, procedures, and security-related best practices.
