Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for all individuals at the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Observe and report activities and/or incidents, documenting findings in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
- Work collaboratively with local authorities and site personnel as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
- Remain visible and approachable to offer assistance and information to employees, visitors, and members of the public as needed.
- Adhere to all Allied Universal and client site protocols, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times while on duty.
