Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for all individuals at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report activities and/or incidents, documenting findings in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities and site personnel as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Remain visible and approachable to offer assistance and information to employees, visitors, and members of the public as needed.
  • Adhere to all Allied Universal and client site protocols, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times while on duty.
