About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Bicycle Patrol in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support guests and staff with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of concerns. Requirements

• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Have 5+ years of security experience.
• Have 4+ year military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have CPR and/or First Aid, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, staff, performers, and/or vendors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details according to post orders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, exhibit areas, theaters, lobbies, back-of-house corridors, and the perimeter, as assigned by site policies.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor flow, checking authorized credentials where required, and reporting suspicious activity per protocol.
• Complete routine security-related reports, communicate with site management and/or emergency services partners as directed, and support crowd management during events, shows, and high-traffic periods.
