Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Area Patrol in Osprey, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier hotels and resorts location, you will monitor and patrol guest areas, amenities, and exterior grounds to help support a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with guests and staff. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a hotel and resort location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of lobbies, guest corridors, parking areas, recreational areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, maintenance issues, and/or hazards, then report findings to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with guest concerns, disturbances, and/or medical emergencies until additional help arrives.
- Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates during shift handoff.
