Security Officer for Residential Building
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Area Patrol in Long Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with friendly customer service. You will monitor activity, document observations, and communicate clearly with your team and site contacts. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and community traffic flow as assigned, verifying resident and visitor information when required and directing individuals to the appropriate location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from local public services and/or property management when needed.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, and security-related concerns in written reports and/or electronic systems per site-specific requirements.
