Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• 21+ years of age
• Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate screening and/or check-in resources per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting suspicious activity, assisting with de-escalation, and coordinating with site personnel and/or public agency partners.
• Complete detailed security-related reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate key information during shift turnovers using approved communication channels.
