As a Security Officer - Unarmed Access Control Specialist in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a leading financial services location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and calls for service, and document observations with clear reports. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, as you may move between areas and/or posts. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to every interaction.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2+ years law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial services location by carrying out armed post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, monitoring visitor and vendor activity, and directing individuals to the appropriate areas in accordance with site policy.
  • Complete required reports such as patrol logs and incident reports, maintain required equipment in serviceable condition, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and site contacts.
