Security Officer - TWIC Verification Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - TWIC Verification Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will support access control by verifying credentials, managing visitor and contractor entry, and monitoring activity at key checkpoints. You will complete routine patrols of assigned areas, document security-related observations, and communicate clearly with site teams to help promote order and professionalism. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, backed by our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture and integrity-driven teamwork.
Requirements
- Possess a TSA Issued TWIC.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial processing location.
- Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing authorized traffic to the proper destination.
- Screen vehicles, deliveries, and materials entering and/or leaving the location in accordance with post orders, reporting irregularities and/or prohibited items through the established chain of command.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events, notifying appropriate contacts, and assisting first responders as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, process areas, and perimeter lines, looking for conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations.
