Requirements

• Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, entry points, waterfront areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor visitor, contractor, and vehicle movement in accordance with site policies, verifying credentials and directing individuals to authorized areas as needed.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, communicating with staff and/or the public, and following post orders for assigned patrol routes and security-related procedures.
