About The Position

As a Security Officer - TWIC Entry Screening in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control at key entry points, greeting drivers and visitors, checking credentials, and supporting TWIC-based entry requirements. You will monitor activity, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and clear communication. Requirements

  • Have a TSA Issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, managing visitor and driver sign-in and/or sign-out, issuing temporary badges and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor entry points, gates, dock areas and/or access systems to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft and/or suspicious activity, and report irregularities per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate internal personnel and/or public emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including interior areas, exterior grounds and/or parking and trailer staging areas as assigned.
