About The Position

As a Security Officer - TWIC Entry Driver in Paulsboro, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, and support visitor and vehicle screening to help maintain strong security-related standards. You will remain highly visible, document activity, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while representing Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and a caring culture. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to the client by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
  • Screen and/or inspect incoming vehicles, packages, and materials in accordance with site procedures, and report irregularities through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, access control systems, and communication channels, documenting notable activity and escalating concerns when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
