About The Position

As a Security Officer - TWIC Credential Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Have a TSA issued TWIC.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by following Allied Universal site-specific protocols and completing security-related procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, passenger areas, docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle traffic flow, assisting with directions, queue management, and identification checks as required by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and emergency services when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions, and communicate timely updates to supervision and site contacts.
