About The Position

As a Security Officer - Gate Reception in Minooka, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will support access control at key entry points, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and help manage badge and visitor logs. You will conduct routine patrols and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, while delivering clear communication and customer service. Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Control access at entrances and vehicle gates by checking identification, verifying visitor and contractor authorization, issuing temporary badges, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems; document irregular activity and notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with emergency services when requested.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
