About The Position
As a Security Officer - Truck Gate in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support visitor and contractor check-in, and monitor activity through routine rounds and camera systems. You will stay visible, document incidents, and communicate clearly with team members and site personnel to help reduce security-related issues. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Control access at gates, guard shacks, and/or entrances by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry and exit logs, and directing traffic flow for inbound and outbound deliveries.
- Monitor security-related alarms, CCTV, and access control systems, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting details, and assisting with incident scene control as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior yard areas, loading docks, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
