As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and create a secure environment for all.   • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential threats and monitor for unusual activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized individuals and/or suspicious activities.
  • Report any incidents, hazards, or suspicious behaviors according to Allied Universal protocols and site-specific guidelines.
  • Interact with visitors, employees, and/or the public in a courteous and professional manner while upholding security-related requirements.
  • Assist with access control and verify credentials as required by site policies.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
