As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a transportation setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting access control procedures. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the transportation location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals entering or exiting the premises and addressing access-related inquiries in a professional manner.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the transportation facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or security-related concerns.
Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or breaches of access control to the appropriate personnel.
Support emergency response activities as directed, maintaining communication with Allied Universal management and location contacts as needed.
