Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Government Site Patrol in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents as needed, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- A valid firearms permit is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site protocols.
- Maintain awareness of site-specific access points and help to deter unauthorized entry.
- Carry and maintain readiness with assigned equipment as required for armed posts.
- Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
