As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to requests with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document observations, report concerns, and collaborate with site staff and your Allied Universal team. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government transit facilities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting and reporting suspicious activity and/or policy violations to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance, documenting details, and coordinating with site leadership and/or public responders as directed.
  • Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and help to maintain orderly pedestrian and vehicle flow around transit property.
  • Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and shift turnover communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
