As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support store teams and guests with professional communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and model integrity in every interaction. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, back-of-house areas, loading docks, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or theft.
  • Monitor and report suspicious behavior, potential shoplifting, and policy violations; communicate observations to store leadership and/or law enforcement as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, crowd management, and documenting incidents per site requirements.
  • Control access to restricted areas, verify deliveries and/or vendor sign-ins as assigned, and complete required reports, logs, and patrol documentation accurately and on time.
