As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will conduct routine patrols of buildings and grounds, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist residents and staff with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to requests for assistance, and support a welcoming community atmosphere. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including observing, reporting, and coordinating with on-site staff and/or local responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, verifying authorization, documenting entries and exits, and assisting with directions and general questions.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate security-related observations to supervision and/or site management.
