Job Description As a Security Officer - Telecom Site Unarmed Patrol in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities according to company and client protocols.
  • Assist with access control measures, including verifying credentials and monitoring entrances and/or exits as required by site procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities and assist first responders as directed during incidents.
  • Maintain awareness of the unique needs and environment of a technology, media, and telecom location while performing duties.
