Job Description As a Security Officer - Telecom Site Patrol Full-Time in Aurora, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and client staff to uphold site protocols and maintain a secure environment.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities as required by site procedures.
Remain alert and attentive to the unique needs and requirements of a tech, media, and telecom environment while performing patrol duties.
