Job Description As a Security Officer - Telecom Perimeter Patrol in De Soto, KS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic technology-focused location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to all onsite. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any unusual conditions.
- Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site protocols.
- Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site procedures.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to provide assistance and relay important information.
- Complete required logs, reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner as directed by site leadership.
- Remain alert to changes in the environment and report any maintenance or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
