As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent tech and media location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting regular patrols of the premises. You will be a visible presence, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. This position requires the use of a computer or tablet to document activities and incidents, and you may be stationed in unique on-site facilities such as a rustic guard shack. In this role, you will also need a valid driver's license in the job state, as some driving may be required. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be comfortable using a computer or tablet; prior experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Willingness to work at locations with limited on-site facilities, such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks, is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license in the job state is required for driving positions.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for personnel, visitors, and assets.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential threats and identify any unusual activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with personnel, visitors, and vendors while maintaining a visible presence at access points.
  • Assist with enforcing company policies and procedures related to access control in a technology, media, and telecom environment.
