About The Position

As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol Driver in Great Falls, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech and media locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with employees and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Join a team that values agility, reliability, and integrity.

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience are required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the security-related needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with entry and exit procedures for employees, visitors, and vendors as required by site protocols.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Collaborate with on-site personnel and management to address security-related concerns and maintain a positive environment at the tech and media location.
