About The Position

As a Security Officer - Telecom Office Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech and media locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with visitors and employees, and support a secure environment. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns in a tech and media environment.
Document and report any security-related incidents or observations using Allied Universal reporting systems.
Collaborate with on-site staff and law enforcement as needed to support a secure environment.
Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Remain alert to changes in the environment and communicate any potential concerns to Allied Universal management.
