As a Security Officer - Telecom Facility Access in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and conduct routine patrols at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials to help control entry and exit at the location, following established protocols for the tech, media, and telecom environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate according to site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential concerns within the location.
- Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily reports to maintain accurate records in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
- Collaborate with team members and onsite personnel to support a security-related presence and help to deter disruptive behavior within the location.
