About The Position

As a Security Officer - Telecom Access Control in Madison, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring access points, checking badges, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. Your presence and attention to detail will help to maintain a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Screen individuals entering the location by verifying identification and/or credentials according to site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and protocols as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the location.
  • Communicate clearly with team members, site management, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities according to company and site requirements.
